The MRT Map (2006) is perhaps one of the most important stepping stones to building up Singapore into a modern city, and looking at it brings back sweet memories. In 2006, the map was of a city awaiting change: lines on paper that linked hoods and one-day dreams. For others it was more than a handbook — This became the trajectory of progress, an ideal for a country on its way up and irreversible by then where every new station came closer to wonder. On the map, each route bore not only passengers but tales of everyday life in an urban community that danced with aspirations and demanded to flourish.
